Wood Finishing & Protection System
From $64.99
Available options: Classic, Deluxe, and Professional
The coordinated two-stage system that builds protection within the wood, then completes the surface with a smooth, hand-buffed hard-wax oil finish.
A complete natural finish must address both the structure of the wood and the surface people see and touch. The Wood Finishing & Protection System pairs Wood Finish with Bee’nooba so each product can perform a distinct role.
Wood Finish is applied first. Its balanced blend of polymerized tung oil, citrus thinner, and organic gum rosin penetrates the grain, enriches natural color, and builds a durable, water-resistant foundation through multiple thin coats.
After the Wood Finish has cured completely, Bee’nooba is applied as the final hand-buffed layer. Its blend of polymerized tung oil, carnauba wax, natural vitamin E oil, citrus thinner, and beeswax adds smoothness, richness, and practical moisture resistance while preserving the natural look and feel of the wood.
The products are matched in different quantities because they are applied differently. Wood Finish is used across multiple penetrating coats, while Bee’nooba is spread sparingly in a thin finishing layer. Less Bee’nooba is needed to complete the same surface area.
Why it earns a place in the shop
- Combines penetrating oil-and-resin protection with a smooth hard-wax oil finishing layer.
- Gives each stage of the process a dedicated product rather than forcing one formula to perform every job.
- Enhances grain depth and natural color without burying the wood beneath a heavy, plastic-looking coating.
Best for: Furniture, dining tables, cabinetry, countertops, butcher blocks, desks, shelves, turned pieces, doors, built-ins, architectural woodwork, and other properly prepared raw wood surfaces.
How to use
Stage one: Build the foundation with Wood Finish
- Begin with wood that is clean, completely dry, properly prepared, and free from dust, grease, wax, or an incompatible previous coating.
- Stir Wood Finish gently before use. Apply a thin, even coat with a clean, lint-free cloth, brush, sponge, or finishing pad.
- Allow the finish to penetrate for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, then wipe away all remaining excess. Do not leave puddles, wet areas, or heavy buildup on the surface.
- Allow approximately 12 to 24 hours between coats under favorable conditions. Apply another coat only when the previous application feels dry rather than tacky.
- Apply two to three thin coats for most projects. Highly absorbent wood or demanding applications may benefit from an additional coat.
- Allow the final coat of Wood Finish to cure completely before applying Bee’nooba. Full cure typically requires approximately 7 to 10 days under favorable conditions and may take longer in cool, humid, or poorly ventilated environments.
Stage two: Refine the surface with Bee’nooba
- Confirm that the underlying Wood Finish has cured completely.
- Apply a very small amount of Bee’nooba in a thin, even layer using a clean cloth or finishing pad. Work with the grain and avoid heavy application.
- Allow Bee’nooba to settle into the surface for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
- Buff thoroughly with a separate clean cloth until the surface feels smooth and dry rather than wet, greasy, or tacky.
- Allow Bee’nooba to cure fully before placing the project into service. Apply an additional thin coat only when the surface and intended use justify it.

What is included
Wood Finish: The primary penetrating finish. Polymerized tung oil cures within the wood, Citrus Thinner improves flow and penetration, and organic gum rosin adds body to the finished result.
Bee’nooba: The final hard-wax oil layer. Polymerized tung oil and natural waxes refine the surface, enrich the grain, and add a smooth, low-luster feel with practical moisture resistance.
